Since we're back up and running, I'm back to trying to perfect RUG Balesk again. This is very different from what I started out with but I like going out on tangents. I know this isnt the traditional sort of draw/shield recursion system, but it is pretty effective. Thoughts are much appreciated.
Creatures (5 Fire, 5 Nature, 4 Water, 2 Rainbow, 16 Total): 4 X Ochappi, Pure Hearted Faerie 1 X Emeral 2 X Twin-Cannon Skyterror 3 X Thrash Crawler 1 X Scarlet Skyterror 2 X Cutthroat Skyterror 2 X Wind Axe, the Warrior Savage 1 X Bliss Totem, Avatar of Luck
Spells (7 Nature, 7 Fire, 5 Water, 3 Rainbow, 22 Total): 2 X Brain Serum 2 X Emergency Typhoon 3 X Reap and Sow 4 X Hell's Scrapper 2 X Mana Nexus 3 X Crimson Hammer 2 X Muscle Charger 3 X Soulswap 1 X Cyber Brain
Evolutions (2 Fire, 2 Total): 2 X Balesk Baj, the Timeburner

Damn, so misleading. I was expecting to find lots of Tick Tick, Swift Viral Swordfigher here xD
Seems like a good build as it is, but I'd strongly recommend going up on the baits- Scarlet and Cutthrroat. Innocent, the invoked can do for a bait if you need more cheap stuff or plan to use other evos like FDF or something later. More cards that I've found really good in achieving the timelock quickly are Seven's Tower and Mobile Forest. And oh, for those times when you find that you just can't get that Balesk back from mana and play him on the same turn-Pixie Cocoon does the job.
These are all mere suggestions though, that I find useful in my own build. Ofc I haven't checked out how your build plays. I might be wrong in most of the points lol.
EDIT: Forgot to mention Storm Javelin Wyvern! Wreckage against heavy light based decks!

very different from my style of deck build and play .. I either make the whole deck around a card/combo or try many combos.. i can't seriously get ur approch here :/ .. If i were you i would have tried either slow the game down with blockers and discard or manabarn or something and then send out balesk baj and maybe some totem to stop triggers or Rush defence & then hardcore mana charge to finally send balesk baj .. however it looks like a good built tho.. increase sky terrors i would also recommend some sort of backup plan or something.. u know of balesk dosen't work .. cursed totem would be awesome.. also i would like to duel this deck of yours.. seriously want to know about your approach.. i think this might help learn new deck type and help me improove my deck building skills

Since Balesk costs 9, would Mana Bonanza be worth using so you can do even more on your double turns? Brone-Arm Tribe can speed things up, since it both gives you mana and can break shields.

I remember this deck, it was fucking lethal...
I've never seen him have trouble with his mana tbh and wouldn't pick up bonanza in favour of anything he already has. The spell spam works nicely in tandem with Ochappi and Bliss to the point where his mana ramps significantly regardless.

Ah, THAT deck. This used to be one hell of a good deck. I still remember all those duels we used to have. Certainly the best Balesk build I've seen till date.

EDIT: Forgot to mention Storm Javelin Wyvern! Wreckage against heavy light based decks! Lol about the name, it was based off an old Goosebumps story title, iirc xD I feel the baits are sufficient purely because of the grave->mana->hand thing the deck has got going. I used to have FDF earlier, but had it removed in this version because I'd mostly have to give up Water cards which I'm already borderline short on. I'm also going for various other unusual engines in this deck, and as you well know, I prefer using mechanics that others don't typically go for. I've tried pretty much all the other cards you've mentioned, in one version of another, but i generally like how this one feels the best. I've had a transition from the initial Mana Bonanza build, to the Bronze-Arm Tribe -> FDF build, to the Seven's Tower accel build, to the current grave->mana recursion build I've got going now. While Pixie Cocoon does make a cheaper alternative, I feel that Thrash Crawler does the same and provides much needed defence at the same time. The extra water mana doesn't hurt. Storm Javelin Wyvern sounds good actually! I think I'll test it out but I'll have to see what to have removed. very different from my style of deck build and play .. I either make the whole deck around a card/combo or try many combos.. i can't seriously get ur approch here :/ .. If i were you i would have tried either slow the game down with blockers and discard or manabarn or something and then send out balesk baj and maybe some totem to stop triggers or Rush defence & then hardcore mana charge to finally send balesk baj .. however it looks like a good built tho.. increase sky terrors i would also recommend some sort of backup plan or something.. u know of balesk dosen't work .. cursed totem would be awesome.. also i would like to duel this deck of yours.. seriously want to know about your approach.. i think this might help learn new deck type and help me improove my deck building skills I know this is probably different from the usual Balesk builds, but the approach is very different but just as effective. Spam spells as much as possible, use Ochappi to accel, into Reap and Sow, and eventually Bliss Totem. The deck functions to move cards from the grave to mana (Ochappi, Bliss) and from mana to hand (Thrash) or mana to shields (Mana Nexus). If done properly, it can prolong the game as long as needed to get the required 12 mana for a Cutthroat->Balesk in one turn. Since Balesk costs 9, would Mana Bonanza be worth using so you can do even more on your double turns? Brone-Arm Tribe can speed things up, since it both gives you mana and can break shields. Interestingly enough, Mana Bonanza was my initial build. This one just adds a lot more versatility and again, helps with my water mana problem. Bronze-Arm Tribe was my go-to acceleration until Ochappi, because Turn 2 Emergency Typhoon into Turn 3 Ochappi is just too good. <3 (Among other things) I remember this deck, it was fucking lethal... Thanks guys, this version was pretty much conceived during our KV glorydays, so I do consider you guys as co-owners of sorts
