Gears (2 Darkness, 2 Total): 2 x Quake Staff --- [cost 1 Darkness]This is one of my oldest decks, tested and improved for over 5 years. Dark Magician has no default strategy or game-plan of it's own, rather it adapts to the opponent's play-style and aims to counter their movements. It's main strength is it's ability to initiate chains of card effects, and almost every card in the deck can be an effective part of these chains. This flexibility makes it very difficult to disrupt and allows it to take on almost any deck in the meta. However, it suffers against opponent's with unpredictable or novel play-styles. Base (10):4 x Bronze-Arm Tribe3 x Jenny, the Dismantling Puppet3 x Skysword, the Savage VizierThe base consists of some commonly used creatures with useful on-summon effects. These provide the initial progression of the deck and are essential when facing some of the most common builds in the meta. Chain (13):4 x Belix, the Explorer4 x Soulswap3 x Phal Eega, Dawn Guardian2 x Corpse ChargerThe true core of Dark Magician. With a sizeable grave and mana, any one of these can initiate a chain of casts and summons. This usually terminates at an appropriate Firepower or Support card. Firepower (10):3 x Gajirabute, Vile Centurion3 x Terror Pit2 x Lost Soul2 x Apocalypse DayThese are the main damage-dealing components, and meant to hit the opponent's resources directly. With this arsenal; any Hand Size, Battle-Zone setup or Shield Defenses can be appropriately dealt with. Support (7):2 x Phantasm Clutch 2 x Quake Staff1 x Forbos, Sanctum Guardian Q1 x Zemechis, the Missionary 1 x Shaman Totem
Miscellaneous options to assist in certain situations.

This deck is hands down one of the best decks in the current format. This deck is an endless life force. This deck can handle anything. This deck wins. Personally, this is one of the few decks I took inspiration from and one of those that defined my playstyle, when I was new in the game and still learning. Many of the combos I use in my BUGY have roots in this deck. I just love the synergy at play here and that is what attracted me to it in the first place. Any card can lead to anything! And best thing is, it's too fun to play with. Kudos for making this piece of art!

well if we ignore mighty "licking hmmm" comment and be more realistic, yes this deck is very good, but it also has a main weakness i exploited. yep,i played vs this deck(or a similar one? but i'm sure it was a copy-cat) using a very aggressive one(shobu theme deck hehe) and my opponent hadn't the time to counter-attack(bad draw maybe?). trust me, i appreciate your control deck(which has most of its origins in tcg control ldn) but i can't let mighty unpunished hehehe(btw is it because he's admin, mighty?no offence but i heard some rumors, eh nvm). so my suggestion is:a little more defence. p.s.: why only 1 forbos. if really can't use more copies you can try logic cube, you know

You know everything! Yes, you are right. Definitely because he's an admin. But why do you care if I lick him or not? Btw, Light. You should listen to Lord Stellar and consider the changes he has suggested to your 'weak against offence' deck!

The deck is magic. Doesn't need the fixes.
