With the advent of Awakening Saga, Light and Darkness based control decks got a huge boost thanks to the powerful psychics. Water and Nature(by themselves) are still not very good with Psychics overall, but Fire did get a boost- and the counterpart to the new control is the new assault.
(Some crazy new strategies are also abound, and the civ-based abilities- Marshall Touch, Mana Reburst, Chain etc are pretty cool too, so be cautious in this meta!)
Well, here's the deck:
Main Deck(40 cards):
Early Game resources/removal:
4x Dreaming Moon Knife
4x Bronze-Arm Tribe
4x Qurian
3x Genius Janit, of the Hidden Blade
More draw/removal:
2x Jester Brain
3x Corile
2x Emperor Marco
Hypespatial spells:
2x Hyperspatial Bolshack Hole
2x Hyperspatial Shooting Hole
2x Hyperspatial Faerie Hole
The big guys:
3x GENJI Double Cross, Blastdragon
2x Perfect Storm Double Cross, Blastdragon
1x Tornado Shiva Double Cross, Blastdragon
Triggers:
3x Aqua Surfer
3x Blazing Tiger, Crimson Lord
Hyperspatial Deck(8 cards)
2x Untouchable, Temporal Hero
2x Kutt, Temporal Brawler
1x GENJI Double Cross, Temporal Swordsman
1x Bolshack Dragon, the Temporal Blaze
1x Bolmeteus 'Young Samurai' Dragon, Temporal Samurai
1x Koshirou, Temporal Ogre
The deck is simple enough to use, quickly hit 5 mana with Dreaming Moon and Bronze-Arm and go for the Hyperspatial Spells. Bring out the best Psychic Creature for the situation- either something that can awaken as soon as possible, or Kutt-Untouchable swarm if the opponent is using pinpoint removal.
The draw power comes from Cyber Lords as usual, with Jester Brain being an experimental addition.
Jester Brain effectively replaces Cyber Brain in an assault, with 3 draws. The opponent has a choice to reduce cards in your hand by sacrificing his shields, but most of them will let you keep the 3 cards because reducing shields against an assault can be fatal.
Genji XX is a really powerful asset for assaults in this meta. With the mana accel you'll get to it quick, and it's a devastating card against most defenders.
Another experimental card is Perfect Storm XX, it will be an immortal double breaker if you've been making good use of your Hyperspatial Spells. Blazing Tiger is another new card that fits in here, as a sort of cross between Hell's Scrapper and Dacity Dragoon.
One important thing to note is that bouncing as a form of removal(Corile, Surfer) is much more powerful now, because it can remove the opponent's psychic creatures cheaply and effectively with the same effect a Terror Pit would have.
